„4+1“ is a theatrical impression that unfolds the relationship between the artist and his muses. Frozen female portraits come to life to reveal to us the story of their creation, and how an encounter with art can change your life forever.
The play is dedicated to the painter Yanaki Manasiev, famous for his female portraits. The playwright Dimitar Kabakov drew inspiration from specific paintings of his and brings the faces in them to life, breathing into them stirring stories. 
In this unusual theatrical composition the fates of four women unfold - different in age and life experience. They are brought together by the death of the painter Yanaki Manasiev, beloved by some and disowned by others. Here is that Keratsa who, while cleaning the painter’s studio, turns to her own astonishment into his favourite model; and the woman from Odessa who refuses to be painted because she is a countess – or perhaps not; all of them, through their colour, reveal to the audience the biography of the unusual and powerful figure of the artist Yanaki Manasiev, poetically woven into the play through the image of the Painter.
